Back on track! SFX juice and fancy levels
Matter » Devlog
Hello there! Its been a while, but MATTER is back in progress!
As I've been absent for a really long time (sorry for that!) I'll reintroduce my game: this is Matter. A pixel art platformer adventure in which you have to escape from an abandoned planet with a single device that generates matter. I've been developing this game since 2016, having suspended this project in 2019 due to personal reasons, however I'm back and this time I won't stop working until Matter is finished!
I'll be posting a devlog once in a week every Saturday, the main goal is to finish this demo as polished as possible.
Updates so far
- Refactored all the post processing stack, installed Universal Render Pipeline which improved performance a lot while keeping the same PPS effects
- Replaced Sprite Lights by the new Unity 2D lights
- Improved jump mechanics
- Now every matter unit has a specific color, which guides better the decay of it
- Refactored level 1 with new aesthetics and level design
- Improved conveyance on level 2 and 3 (now you know where to go and where not to come back)
- SFX for almost all the elements
- Some items at levels are better looking, like water and places where bombs explodes
Stay tuned for a new release
